Short Biography

Tom Trytek is a founding principal of TDK Engineering Associates, P.C. and currently holds the position of Vice President and Secretary. In addition to overseeing daily company operations, he is actively involved with maintaining client relationships and managing various projects.

Tom has over 18 years experience and is capable of taking a project from initial concept through completion. The following are some notable structural engineering design projects associated with the theatrical industry that Tom was the engineer-of-record:

Overture Center for the Arts | Madison, Wisconsin
Single 200-ton moveable organ enclosure. At the time of completion in 2003, this was noted as the world's largest moveable enclosure.

Jazz at Lincoln Center (JALC) | New York, New York
Dual 63-ton trussed overhead retractable ceiling and recessed light structures.

Adrienne Arsht Center | Miami, Florida
Triple overhead canopy structures, totaling 45 tons, for stage lighting and speakers; theatrical rigging assemblies; and 7-ton concrete acoustic wall panels.

In addition to his work for the theatrical industry, Tom has designed on-site wastewater treatment systems, marine facilities, shoreline stabilization structures, building foundations and earth retaining systems. He also has experience conducting forensic evaluations related to structural, marine, foundation and wastewater treatment system failures.
